Plot: Jenny and Steve set out for a romantic getaway at Eden Lake, only to find that things in the woods are not as tranquil as they seem. A group of rebellious teenagers begin to terrorize the couple and things quickly get out of hand.

Analysis: This movie was absolutely awful, not because of poor acting, but because the whole plot was vile and miserable to watch. Michael Fassbender and Kelly Reilly actually put on pretty good performances, but I literally don’t know how anyone could enjoy watching the events of the film unfold. The decent acting almost makes it worse, because I actually feel bad for the characters.

The teenagers (but mainly the leader) are awful and violent. The movie is a huge downer, with no payoff and none of the fun of a quality horror film. I nearly didn’t finish it and I don’t recommend this movie.
