Face/Off (1997)

John Travolta and Nic Cage literally switch faces.

Laura’s Rating: 3/5 Stars

Plot: FBI Agent Sean Archer goes undercover as criminal mastermind Castor Troy to foil a terrorist plot by getting a facial transplant. When Troy wakes up early and finds that Archer has literally stolen his face, he seeks revenge.

Analysis: My thoughts while watching Face/Off: LOL This is the most ridiculous movie I’ve ever seen. The plot holes are beyond reason and the script is incredibly corny. Why is this more than two hours long?

But I also was laughing hysterically.

My key takeaway is that Travolta doing his best Cage impression is incredible. Watching Nic Cage be obnoxious and insane for the first 30 minutes is actually worth it to then watch Travolta try to emulate that same energy later.

This has to be a top entry in the “so bad it’s good” category. I had no idea how to rate this because I hated and loved every second. 1 for quality and 5 for enjoyability = 3 stars?
