67 movies!

I watched 67 movies this year, 51 of those for the first time. Of the movies I had never seen before, here’s the best and worst movies that I watched in 2020.
Best Movies:
Casablanca (5/5 Stars)
One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest (5/5 Stars)
Parasite (4.5/5 Stars)
Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (4.5/5 Stars)
The Shawshank Redemption (4.5/5 Stars)
Casablanca is iconic for its timelessness. Despite being released in 1942 and filmed in black and white, the movie still feels fresh and relevant today. Anyone looking to get into film absolutely must watch the movie. Bonus: references to Casablanca are found in my top book of 2020, A Gentleman in Moscow.
Worst Movies:
Love, Wedding, Repeat (1.5/5 Stars)
It’s Complicated (1.5/5 Stars)
Chinatown (1.5/5 Stars)
Scrooged (2.5/5 Stars)
Murder on the Orient Express- 2017 (2.5/5 Stars)
My takeaway from this is that maybe I grade movies too easily? I love movies so even terrible ones are usually an okay experience for me. I’ll have to evaluate my scale as I move into 2021.
Thanks again to everyone who gave me suggestions, I already have a growing list of movies to watch next year!
