Plot: After Andi loses her journalist job and Runway magazine faces a PR crisis, Andi finds herself back at the site of her miserable, life-changing internship.

Analysis: This was actually a pretty great sequel. The story didn’t feel forced. The original cast was all back and felt natural in their roles, with appropriate career and personal life progressions. I forgot how much of a treasure Stanley Tucci is in these films.

Beyond the nostalgia and the fun drama, there were some important themes in the background. I liked the conversations around the necessity of keeping journalism alive and maintaining the art of fashion and beauty in a world of AI and digital content. The people and the important stories are what make the industry interesting and full of life. I’d definitely recommend for fans of the first movie.
