Dear Book Lover,
I do enjoy musicals! Now that you mention it, I don’t think I have reviewed any on my blog yet, which is definitely an oversight I hope to correct soon. Some of my favorites would be Grease (1978), On The Town (1949), and White Christmas (1954). Grease is my favorite movie in general and I can sing along to all the songs. On The Town is a classic with big stars like Gene Kelly and Frank Sinatra that I have watched with my mom about a thousand times. I enjoy the movie itself, but also the good familiar feeling it brings of quality time with my mom. Finally, White Christmas is obviously a seasonal favorite. The story is heartwarming and the songs put me in the Christmas spirit. Also shoutout to the animated Disney movies like The Little Mermaid (1989), and Beauty and the Beast (1991), which are also musicals that bring a dose of nostalgia and fun.
